Chapter 1: The Savior World

Elsewhere in the Milky Way galaxy, the Shireen scout ship Pride 1 entered a transition point, which was essentially a doorway in space. Seconds later, starship pilot Lexieria Vetra guided the ship through another transition point light-years away.

Lexieria reached over to hold her wife’s hand. “That looks good.”

Lexieria steered Pride 1 toward the beautiful blue/green planet below. From the current view, the planet included northern and southern continents. As a bonus, there was a large island and several small islands in the southern hemisphere. There were additional continents on the other side of the planet, bringing the total to seven.

“Yes, I do see the potential,” said Lexieria’s wife Astra Monix. Lexieria and Astra expressed their enthusiasm by holding hands even more tightly.

Their hands were a study in contrasts. Lexieria’s dark fingers were between Astra’s pale digits. Their hair also contrasted. While Lexieria’s hair was long and dark, Astra’s hair was short and blonde.

“Could this be the Savior World?” Lexieria asked. “Could this world save the Shireen race?”
